kind of a roommate joke (because all my roommates are also zelda freaks with journals)--because whenever Link learns a new song he holds up his ocarina and looks at it with this amazed expression on his face. so that one was mostly for them.

oh lord. um, also a roommate joke, i guess. because some people who are bad typists often slip as they're typing their exclamation points? so we started doing it on purpose to make fun of those people? we've been doing it so long i can't even remember anymore. we do "teh" instead of "the" too. check out imfgs, that's pretty much what i'm talking about. sorry to be confusing, and thanks for checking out my icons!
