done, done, and DONE!
Jan. 30th, 2003 11:09 ami finished the job application. last night i was up till 1:30am finishing the cover letter and the statement of teaching philosophy, but now it's done. this morning anne proofread it for me, gave me some good suggestions, i made some changes, and it was all finished. i got some departmental letterhead from the english department and printed out the letter (you wouldn't believe how professional and official something can look when it's in a nice font on letterhead), and i printed out the rest of it, and paperclipped it, and this afternoon i'm going to the post office to next-day-air it to boston.
and tonight, i'm going to have a drink at the bar. and go to a poetry reading, too.
i also posted the c.v. and teaching philosophy on my website--i made a whole little section for job stuff, if you want to check it out. there's even a link to it on my front page.
now for the next two weeks until my thesis reading, i can relax, revise a lot of poems, work hard, and do yoga. and if i decide to send out an application to another job, well, the work's already done. woo!
