last night i saw Y Tu Mama Tambien. i stopped by the video store on the way home from work because i figured i'd be lonely and bored last night and i knew jorn didn't really care about seeing it. imagine my cheerful surprise that 1. dylan was home, and 2. he wanted to watch the movie with me! and dude, it was really good. when it was over we ended up feeling both horny and devastated at the same time, which is an unusual combination of emotions for a movie to elicit. i feel like i'm going to be thinking about it for quite a while. really, really good.
maybe i'll make some icons...
anyway, after the movie, i watched some MXC (DON'TGETELIMINATED!!1!) and got to bed by 10:30. which was nice, because i got up at 6:30 to stop at the doctor's office to get blood taken. don't get all worried, the doctor just wanted it done as a routine thing, to check my something-or-others. it only took like two seconds, seriously--i was worried because my mom has such dreadful veins, whenever she needs blood drawn (which happens more often than we wish it did) they have to stick her like 18 times and sometimes they send her home and make her come back again later, and it's always just a big nightmare. it wasn't like that for me at all, which was nice. (thought: maybe it's my mom's horror stories about getting blood drawn that makes me feel squeamish about giving blood even though i know it's something i should do.) oh, and the dermatologist yesterday said the thing on my leg was just a thing, and i don't need to worry about it unless it gets rough or annoying and then they'll remove it for me. so that's good too. next on the medical front: the dentist. woot.
after the blood, i got a berry bagel from the law school cafe and it was SO YMMUY. i had to skip dinner last night because i wasn't supposed to eat after 8pm for the blood thing but i put the movie on right after work and it didn't end til after 8, so no dinner (but i weighed 148 naked this morning, which was exciting even if it was just because i skipped dinner). i got to work right on time and enjoyed a pleasant morning that included getting a paycheck. it's funny how i've been working here less than three (<3) months and yet i've already earned more than i earned from uncg in the entire 2002-2003 school year. (well, this is amusing now, but it wasn't at this time last year.) i went to yoga, which was good--actually was able to accomplish (sort of) the butt-swing-through thing which i hadn't been able to do before on account of the hugeness and heaviness of the aforementioned butt, and i also sort of lifted in this one arm lift thing too. (well, i know what i meant even if you don't.) and i got a salad for lunch, and an Odwalla strawberry C monster fruit drink, which is actually really really yummy. now i've got some stuff to send out for the jorb--i'll try to stop by again later.
oh, and i forgot to mention that all this time i've been bitching about not having PhotoShop, dylan had it on his computer. the whole time! so he put it on a cd for me, and when i get a chance i will install it here at work and then go really icon crazy. and make very pretty things.
