supercheesegirl: (buffy happy)
i am a happy rox today! last night was a very good night. when i got home from work, dylan and miles were cooking sausages and when they were FINALLY finished i ate two, on buns with mustard. it was lovely. then emmy and dylan and jorn and i went to see Eternal Sunshine. it was my second time but the others hadn't seen it before, and i think jorn really liked it. i loved it, again. after the movie jorn and i got lost coming home because dylan expects everyone to have a good sense of direction like his, but that's okay. after i got home i got changed and glittered up and ran out to Manray, and kris and darxus and siren were just getting there when i got there too. good timing. i met alex and steve (friends of darxus, kris, and siren), and was hit on by ace, who is "almost 19" and starting college in new york in the fall. ack. although if i had been closer to almost 19 myself i would've liked him. my cat shoes were admired by several people (including ace, and to his credit he really did pick the right thing to compliment to get me talking to him). and the bartender gave me a free water. and i danced a lot, and spent a lot of time with kris. yay. definitely the most successful and fun club night i've ever had. oh, and last night when i got home jorn was still awake even though it was almost 1:00 and so we had a chance to... talk. because i was still very awake upon getting home from Manray. all around a really, really good night.

and this morning! my alarm went off at 6:30, and i was out of bed by 6:37. incredible for me. and since i was up extra early, i had time for leg shaving (so i won't have to waste time doing that in greensboro) and for packing (i'm almost done now), and then i walked to work and got in just a few minutes after 9:00! so it's even been a lovely morning. that makes three mornings this week that i've walked to work. a good accomplishment.

and even the arm falling off my glasses here at work (i guess that *was* a little silver screw i saw in the bathroom sink this morning) has not dampened my mood. the glasses are staying on my face (well, pretty much) and i'm going to see if dann's planning on taking a walk this afternoon, and if so if he could perhaps walk to harvard and bring me my eyeglass repair kit. and this has reminded me to pack said eyeglass repair kit for all my uparriving travels. so it's good.

tonight: flying to greensboro
back from greensboro: sunday night

in other news. i really need to hit the Garment District, because Manray is getting to be a habit and i need some stuff to wear. i also want to hit the fabric store dylan told me about so i can patch my patchy jeans again.

oh, and i thought of something. okay, 5th season of buffy, at one point she starts doing research and trying to find out how other slayers died, as something to help her, you know, not die. giles tried to help but the watchers diaries he had didn't give many details about how each slayer finally died, so buffy went to spike to find out how he'd killed the two slayers he killed, and we got good spikey back story. nice. however, if i were buffy, i'd start wondering about the slayers who had immediately preceded me. slayers tend to have relatively short lifespans, right, so it's likely that their watchers and loved ones would still be around to answer questions (unless they were killed in some sort of catastrophe along with their slayer, which is possible too). plus, if something killed a slayer in the not-too-distant past then it's likely that that something is still around looking for more slayers to kill. so why isn't buffy curious about the last few slayers? did joss just not think of this?
