wednesday stuff

i'm rereading the harry potter books. i started with book 1 on sunday afternoon. now i'm halfway through book 4.
today's the faculty/staff picnic here at HLS. as instructed, i wore a hawaiian shirt. anything for free food.
tomorrow night Robert Pinsky and Jamaica Kincaid are reading at the Harvard Book Store. not sure if i feel like going. i'd have to get there early and get a seat and all. i should call farbs tonight and see if she wants to go--should call farbs anyway and see if she's going to tadd's party this weekend. i told tadd i'd go to his party on saturday night but none of my roomies are going and so i won't know anyone but farbs and tadd himself. and now of course there's something else to do on saturday night. i may have to drive myself instead of T-ing so that i can party hop (or not-a-party hop, as the case may be). put in an appearance at tadd's first, then go elsewhere. we'll see.
did i tell you, amy's having a yard sale but she let me go through her cds first and take the ones i wanted? i have 16 new cds. i'm listening to eddie from ohio right now and it's pretty good. i can't tell, after a few more listens it will either grow on me til i love it insanely or it'll get on my nerves. i also got several ani cds, some indigo girls, some other folksy stuff. just when i was thinking my collection of "chicks with guitars" music was a little thin, too. woot. :)
