This morning we had no hot water. As in none at all. We never had any problems with the hot water until recently, when the water temperature started going from hot to cold and back again and just generally being unreliable, but even that was better than no hot water at all. So no one who lives in our house got to take a shower this morning. N.G. Now after work, instead of going bra shopping, I'm going to the *gym* to take a shower. Given my choice I think I'd rather be unsmelly, ungreasy, and braless at the club tonight. Meh.

Also I didn't realize it was snowing when I left the house this morning, and so I didn't grab my umbrella or a hat, and I ended up trudging to the grocery store and then to the T and then to work and got all snowy in the process. Snow in my hair, which really didn't need the snow action since it's already having problems looking presentable with the shower situation. I admit it, sometimes I am girly, and this is one of those times. I enjoy being clean and dry and warm. This morning I was none of those things. (This is also why I refuse to ski.)

One good thing, though--I needed to order new checks, and so I went online to Checks in the Mail and decided to splurge on their personalized photo deal. I used this picture, and the checks are going to be so insanely cute. So that made me happy.

Hey Grassy, Jorn downloaded a Rilo Kiley album for me, "More Adventurous." I'm listening to it now, and it's pretty okay. I doubt I'll end up the fangirl you are, but I like it. Jorn actually downloaded a bunch of things for me, and because like twelve albums will fit on one cd if they're in mp3 format, I have a ton of music to listen to today. W00t.

Oh, and I beat Windwaker last night. I want to play through it again, though, and keep a list of what heart pieces I get as I get them, so I can actually try to get everything this time. But first I think I'll play Luigi's Mansion, because that looks hellafun. I also watched the featurettes on the last disc of Buffy season 7 last night. Then I put the disc back in the case and put the case on the shelf with the other Buffy seasons. Sigh. I need to not think about it for a while. I should read about the Incas instead. I don't have class tonight, thankfully, because my prof is in Peru right now, so I should get some reading done and get going on my final. Not that the final will be hard to do, but getting it done is the problem. I don't have a lot of plans for this weekend, so hopefully that'll be my time for it.

El jay is being slow and not emailing comments. Don't they understand that this stupid journal is all I have to do all day?

In other news, my hair is accumulating ickiness and I am unhappy. Dann, any hot water updates? I'd really rather just come home after work...

So far today I have listened to Rilo Kiley, Devendra Banhart, and Death Cab for Cutie, all of which was new to me. Both Devendra and Rilo need a few more listens, but I suspect Devendra's going to crawl into my stomach and then eat my heart. (In a good way!) Death Cab has so far been my favorite out of the three--I *know* they're not as good as the Postal Service, but shut up, I'm still liking it. I also listened to the Inuyasha songs, which cheered me up a lot when I first grumped my snowy, filthy way into the office. Now I'm listening to the DDR songs, which makes me really want to play again. Some of these songs are so good. I'm bopping here at work. Jorno, when are you going to send the PS2 off for repairs? This weekend?
