I can't find my T pass! I had to walk to work yesterday and today, and while the weather was perfect for walking and I might have walked anyway, it was still sucky to *have* to walk. Today I wanted to bring a bag of books and try to sell them after work, but I wasn't going to lug them all the way here. Now I'll have to borrow Jorn's pass and bring them tomorrow. Hey, Kris, could you check and see if maybe my T pass fell out of my purse onto your floor? I honestly can't think of where else it could be except maybe in the car. I'll check there tonight.

Hey Annie/Bobbi: what was that place you were telling me about that has good ren faires?

In other news, I'm wearing a pretty skirt today that Farbs was getting rid of. It's gray and flowy and makes me look vaguely flowerlike. I'm enjoying it.

And in the news this morning, researchers gather at a conference on Atlantis. Neat. Thanks for the link, Jorno.

Jorn and I are leaving Friday afternoon to a) drive to my mom's house to go to my cousin's wedding, and b) spend next week at SUUSI in Blacksburg, VA. I am very excited about doing both things. However, it's been proved to me yet again that everything interesting always happens the minute I leave town and ends the second I get back. I think all of you do this on purpose to make me crazy. It always happens whenever I go anywhere. Here's a list of all the things I'll be missing:

- a mustard party. I love mustard!
- the new Harry Potter book arriving at my house on Saturday (everyone else in the WORLD is going to read it first and spoil me!)
- a ren faire
- an Alice in Wonderland themed party
- Spy Kids playing at the Brattle (I have always wanted to see ever since it came out the first time and no one would ever see it with me and now that Jorn's seen the preview he finally thinks it would be fun to watch, which I've been trying to tell him since forever, and of course it's playing right after we leave)
- possibly dinner with girl friends (though if they go without me I will be royally upset)

This isn't a comprehensive list. There's a bunch of other things I can't even remember now. Please, comment and tell me what other fun things I'll be missing. Argh!

::edit:: add to the list: A Taste of Cambridge on Wednesday evening. You all know how much it upsets me to miss food-related events!

So, last year I paid $50 for two semesters' worth of yoga and rec classes at Harvard's athletic center. Good deal. Now, for seven weeks of classes this summer, they have charged me $65. I understand that it is more expensive to run a full schedule of rec classes in the summer, because there aren't near as many students here. That still seems like a big ol' price difference to me, though. I'm just hoping the fee I have to pay for classes this fall doesn't go up too much.

Anyway, I bring this up because I paid the dang fee, and I figured if I go to two classes a week that will mean I'm paying less than $5 a class and will therefore make me feel better about the price. I made it to two classes last week--yoga on Tuesday and a Nia dance class on Friday. Today I skipped my usual yoga class to go for a nice lunch out on the boss, but fitness-wise I'm in good shape anyway--losing my T pass has forced me to walk to and from work yesterday and today, and my butt muscles are hurtin'. I don't know if I'll be able to cram two classes into the rest of this week, though. I'm hoping to get to the 6:05 yoga tomorrow evening but might not be able to. Thursday I'm planning on hitting my usual yoga class. The big problem is that I'll be away all next week, thus missing an entire week of rec classes that I have paid for! Grr. Ideally I would like to make three classes in a week so I can still get my damn money's worth. I know I'm being way too picky and that lots of people are paying way more for yoga classes. I don't care. I still want to milk my athletic center membership for every penny it's worth. (Although I don't ever go there to, like, lift weights or use the treadmill. God forbid.)

I know I already mentioned my pretty skirt that I'm wearing today. I have been feeling very princesslike all day because of it and so I've been using my princess icon in all my comments. Not even the giant blemish on my chin can spoil my princessness (though it has reminded me of why I grew my nails long in the first place--zit squeezing!). I don't feel like using my princess icon very often, and I won't likely feel like a princess tomorrow, so you should all take this opportunity to treat me like royalty. Dat iz all. :)
