Full title: Kalpa Imperial: The Greatest Empire That Never Was.
This book is amazing. It's a fantasy, it's a history, it's a novel while simultaneously being a collection of short fiction; it's some of the most beautiful prose I've ever read. The use of language is gorgeous, fluid and lovely. The stories are confusing, enlightening, heartbreaking, wonderful. I absolutely adored this book. Ursula K. Le Guin is possibly my very favorite writer, and here she's translating for Angélica Gorodischer, who seems to be the Argentinian version of a Le Guin. This book made me so incredibly happy. I would read a story, finish it, and then have to go back to the beginning and read it all over again. I know there are details I missed. I look forward to reading this over and over for years to come.
