supercheesegirl: (watch out!)
I made an appointment to go to the dentist. I've had dental insurance since January and I'm finally getting around to this now. Probably because I really don't like it when my gums bleed, and that's something that only happens when people scrape my teeth.

I think it's telling that I made the dentist appointment before I took care of getting my car inspected. Somehow mechanics are more terrifying than dentists? Although if someone gave me the phone number for a good mechanic within walking distance of somewhere familiar, I would probably call right now as well (that was what happened with the dentist--Darxus's root canal inspired me, and he said the dentist was good). As it is, my mechanic-choosing method is... imprecise. Last year we picked randomly out of the phone book. This year, I'm planning on taking it to John and Nick's, because they're on Mass Ave between Central and Harvard and have a sign in their window that says they do inspections. But I don't really know anything about them. And I procrastinate.

Other things I haven't been doing: taking my winter coat to the dry cleaner to get the pockets mended, taking my green dress to the cleaner along with it, getting my hair cut. I am not big on running errands.

Do you floss? My gums used to bleed really badly, but I started flossing every day, and now they don't even bleed at the dentist's.

I don't floss, and they always tell me to. But then I forget, and I don't do it, and I don't think about it until right before I have to go to the dentist again, and that's useless because you have to build up some resistance to the flossing. They'd be all tender and sore for my appointment if I started flossing *now*.

I really, really hate the dentist. Did I mention that?

I wish you could go to my dentist. She is like a combination of the coolest grandmother ever, and the tooth fairy.

I have just gotten into a routine of flossing every night, and it took about 2 weeks before I wasn't bleeding anymore.

I always think that I should start flossing, and I never do. Sigh.

I heard a comedian once who compared quitting smoking to starting flossing. Hehe. You always swear you'll get around to it at some point...

weird...I just had a dream about spitting into the toilet...and there was blood in it...and then I flusehed the toilet and the toilet water was a solid red...flushed again and it became clear...

Last time I had major work...and had to go back for multiple visits and during that time I had dreams of losing all my teeth...odd dreams...sometimes I dreamt it hurt other times, not...
