so i have one of those adapters that lets me play cds in my car from my discman. it has a thing that goes in the tape deck, and a thing that goes in the cigarette lighter for power. and it cost more than i thought it would--like $30--but i thought it was well worth it, because i do a lot of driving. but (as i was recently reminded) it's not working now. i've been leaving all the parts in the car (because what good are they in the house?), and i don't know if it was the heat or what, but now it doesn't work. a little sound comes out of the speakers, but not anything anyone could listen to. i don't know if it's the adapter's fault or the discman's fault. i think we narrowed it down to it not being the power cable's fault (because the discman was ON, at least), so it's either the discman itself or the part that connects to the tape deck. has anyone else had a similar ish with one of these adapters that could help me out?
