an attempt to make myself feel better, after the previous post

in other news, i'm wearing my truly outrageous Jem! tank top, which makes me happy, and i'm drinking iced tea instead of nillacoke, so that's good too. there was something else i was going to say, but i don't remember it now. oh well. but i'm sitting contentedly with jay in the hobbit hole (our little office at CASA), and we're both typing, and it's actually not cold in here today, and things are really okay. it's okay that i don't want to teach. there's lots of other things i can do. and lots of people think i'm great.

And I'm sure the financial stuff will work itself out, and just think about the extra time you'll have to get other things done once you're finished at the HLC. That will be a really good thing to have with all the other stuff you've got going on. Oh, and as for the teaching thing. I'm in the same mindset as you, I think. I was all ready to major in education when I applied to SU, and then the day I had to fill out my acceptance papers, instead of writing in "elementary education", I wrote in "communications". I can deal with small groups of people who want to learn, I can do a one-on-one thing, but get me in front of a class of people staring at me and expecting me to know what I'm talking about, and I'm gone.

Maybe you should look into being one of those professional tutors to young actors or something. :) I'm sure not all of them are obnoxious brats, and they would probably pay you fairly well.
