This was a really cool book. If you haven't heard of it, it's about how this one scientist was able to, by studying mitochondrial DNA, trace our evolution back to seven individual women who lived 10-50 thousand years ago who were basically the ancestors of most of Europe. Like genetic archaeology. Neato. (I was able to read the entire book on Friday: I started it at work, and then read it for the three and a half hours I was stuck sitting at the Boston airport, and then read it on the plane and finished it right before I landed in Philly. This was the one good thing about having my flight delayed and delayed, being able to finish it (and therefore give it back to my mother).)
