A quick update, because I actually have work to do (transcribing the Kipster's tapes of letters, instead of transcribing my phone posts). We didn't end up taking Chelsea to Salem this weekend, because she caught a little cold and didn't think she was up for walking around all day. Instead we went to the movies and saw The Brothers Grimm, which was better than I thought it would be. Matt Damon was not attractive at all but Heath Ledger is always a cutie. (Also, I was so sure one of their sidekick guys was in PotC, and I was right! And he's surprisingly cute in modern clothes!) And we went to Pizzeria Uno for dinner, and went to Hidden Sweets so Chels could get a Boston sweatshirt, and there we found... Jane Austen action figures. I could not believe it. Chelsea and I each needed one. Sunday we went to Target and then I came home and made baked french toast, which Chelsea asked for specially, and then we sat around until it was time to take her to the airport. Then we went to game night at T&A's, which was really fun.

And last night, I forgot to mention in my phone post, I ran into H-squared between my classes! That was very cool. And I forgot to tell her when I saw her: Happy Birthday! I hope you had a great one, hon. :)

Bones last night was pretty good--so far, the pattern has been that I like the show a lot when I'm watching it, but after it's over and I think about it for any length of time I start finding all these discrepancies and inconsistencies. And it's just not really written like a crime solving drama. I want to tell the writers to go watch CSI and Law & Order for a bunch of hours and then try again. Also those scenes of witty banter in the car are not as entertaining as the writers think they are. But as much as I'm ambivalent about the show, it makes me mad that Fox is not showing any more episodes until November. Great way to support your new show, Fox, everyone will have forgotten about it by then. Jerks.

Tonight is Lost and ANTM. I hope we find out what's going on with the raft guys. And crazy!Desmond in the hatch. I think I need a crazy!Desmond icon.

::edit:: AND this Friday is pay day. Not only is it a three-paycheck month, which is nice enough by itself, I also get my retroactive bonus this month. And a pleasant bonus it is indeed!! Jorn called me his sugar mama. We're so going shopping Friday night. :) :)
