okay, so first of all, jess, this is all your fault.

jess took a quiz. and she posted her results. so then i took the quiz. one of the questions asks how much buffy merchandise you own. a spike action figure is mentioned. this clued me in to the fact that spike action figures exist.

now i've been to ebay, and done a yahoo search, and found a variety of places online where i could get buffy action figures. and i want them. i want spike, and i want buffy. i want willow and drusilla, i want giles and angel and xander in his military outfit. i want the action figures that sold out years ago and are available on ebay for way too much money. i want them all. i want to take them out of the packages and fight them. i want them to fight against other action figures too--like, buffy and donatello could team up against the decepticons, and spike and jesus and worf could get in a big brawl. then i want to arrange them all on my desk (assuming someday i get a cubicle at an office or something; otherwise, they can all live on my desk at home).

i still want legolas, too. i'm afraid to look on ebay for him. i also hate to spend actual money on these things. i need to save up so i can spend money on books at AWP in baltimore. but i need buffy action figures. and it's all jess's fault!

We have Military Xander. That's the only one we have. Because Emily loves Military Xander. :D
Assuming you won't take time out of your day tomorrow to write an El-Jay, I'll just say it now.

Oh lord. We (my boyfriend and I) have Faith (the one without leather jacket, sadly), Cordy in the purple dress, and Xander. Our friend C. has (Fiesta) Giles and The Gentlemen from "The Wish."

We run this BtVS/A:TS fanfic zine, A Shark With Feet, and we got this goofy idea that to avoid copyright infringement (from using copyrighted images of the Buffy crew), all of our cover images would be photos that we took of the action figures doing stuff. Like the first issue featured Cordy with a machine gun (http://swf.asteph.com/back/cordygun2.jpg) (the gun that came with Xander, I think?), which is really cool even though our camera was crappy, and the second issue had Giles and Xander reading a book (http://swf.asteph.com/back/issue2prev.jpg) in this doll-sized "library" that C. and Andy made from cardboard and stuff.

Yes, we are terribly dorky. :)
