books 2007: Girls in Pants, by Ann Brashares

Full title: Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood. I can't believe I'd never read this one. I didn't think this one was quite as engaging as the earlier books--as if she was already writing light in anticipation of a movie--but still a fun read.

I remember thinking that I liked the third one the best when I read it, and now can't recall a single thing that happened in it. Go figure...

I just read the fourth one a couple of weeks ago and liked it. And Brashares's first "grown-up" book, The Last Summer (of You and Me) was pretty good, too, although there didn't seem much difference to me between her YA writing and her grown-up writing.
