Yoga # 95

On Saturday I went to the Mindful Vinyasa workshop at Enso. I'd been really excited about this, because Adam's been reading a lot of the books I've been reading on buddhism and mindfulness, Iyengar's Light on Life, and I was really looking forward to it! It was actually scheduled for last week, October 2, and I had been staying at my parents' house so I got on the highway and drove down for the class, only to find a note on the door that it had been rescheduled for October 9. So I went this week, no big, except that I was really tired and kept falling asleep during the meditations. Adam was playing recordings of Thich Nhat Hanh and I fell asleep! I was also really wobbly on the actual yoga, couldn't hold my downward dogs very long. I was kind of embarrassed. Then Saturday night I started to develop a sore throat, and I was like, oh, that's why. I spent the weekend fighting off a head cold. I took a three-hour nap on Monday afternoon and slept in an extra three hours this morning. Yay for having sick time to burn, I guess, but anti-yay for the cold affecting my yoga. I still enjoyed the class, just not so much as I might have.
