books 2011: Doctor Who: The Art of Destruction, by Stephen Cole

F found this at a discount book sale and gave it to me for Christmas. It was fun! The Doctor (Tennant) and Rose follow an alien signal to Earth in the 22nd century and manage to get stuck in the middle of a 2000 year old intergalactic war. I like that it was set in Africa--on the show, everything always happens in London or Wales, so it was nice to see the Doctor somewhere else for a change. Dialogue was pretty well written and actually sounded like our heroes, which is always a plus in spin-off novels.
