I started on Carey's second Kushiel trilogy, about Imriel. Okay it was awesome. I don't know why I waited so long: I know these are stupid books, but they really entertain me and I love them. This was probably not as compelling action-wise as Phedre's stories--Imri lives in different times than Phedre's, and his country is at peace. But I thought Carey did an interesting job of showing how Imri deals with the aftereffects of what happened to him as a child and grows up to be himself in spite of the trauma. Next two books = ordered and shipped.
