bad news: i haven't worked out in ages and i'm not as flexible or strong as i was even three months ago, and i've lost a lot of muscle.
good news: my sexy boots are a lot easier to zip up and more comfortable now that i've lost those pesky calf muscles that were making them too tight.
and jorn got me these two new ben folds cds--i don't even know where he found them or how he knew ben was coming out with new stuff--but i'm psyched because he surprised me and they're really good. a lot of Rocking the Suburbs was kind of flippant and cynical--it's a good cd with a few great songs, but not one of my favorites. but these two new things (would you call them EPs? they're not singles) are good, with some really beautiful songs, AND a cure cover. and jorn said ben's going to be putting out another one soon. but you can tell ben's getting older--he's dealing with the same topics (for example, fat americans who sit on their asses) in totally different ways now ("uncle walter" on the BFF self-titled vs. "all you can eat" on Sunny 16). less goofy frat guy, more political? i don't know. it's good he's evolving. i like Sunny 16 better than Rocking the Suburbs already, i think. it was a good album and a good single to start off his solo thing, but i'm glad he's moving away from some of that stuff.

It's very pretty and sad, very different from most of his otehr stuff.
I saw Ben Folds and a Piano last year, and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to.
