tv update / maternity leave

finished first two seasons of Vampire Diaries. Ian Somerhalder makes the whole show. I enjoyed referring to the Grille as "the Bronze", especially in the episode where they finally got a band in there and the whole place got trashed.

But with the entire world in which to store the bodies of his family, whom he probably murdered in Europe, Klaus just happens to keep them in Mystic Falls? Or does he just cart them around with him from place to place? I'm sure there are plenty of other implausibilities (imklausibilities?) but that's just the most recent.

Anyway, really enjoyed cracking out on this show overall.

 

Still working on ST:TNG and My So-Called Life with F. We also started Friday Night Lights, which I'm really into so far. We just finished the BBC's Jekyll, which was great. Steven Moffat can do no wrong. I watched the first two episodes of Tin Man and it was awesome, but now I need to wait for F to catch up. Finally, I started on Weeds, which is really good so far.

 

Only two more weeks of maternity leave, which makes me want to cry. I'm back at work after Labor Day, at which point F takes over for four weeks, so at least we won't be leaving her with strangers trained professionals quite yet. But how did I not know before how nice it is to have a fat little baby to cuddle?

Klaus travels with the bodies. And there's a lot more Originals back story to come which I don't want to spoil, but it makes more sense than you might think right now.

Oh Klaus, what a tangled web you weave. ;)

Also, Damon is my favorite vampire EVAR! I really love vamp Caroline, though. She just gets better and better.

Is third season the current season? Netflix only has the first two seasons, and this is one that F totally won't watch, so I don't know when I'll get to see more. Sigh...

I know "it'll always be Stefan", but Damon is much more interesting and more fun. Plus he gets actual character development, while Stefan just gets to brood and occasionally freak out.

Vamp Caroline has totally impressed me. Right after she turned, Damon said something about how they should kill Caroline, since Vicki couldn't handle it and so no way could Caroline handle it, and my first thought was, Oh Damon, she's going to surprise you. :)

Yeah, Season 3 just finished airing and it comes out on DVD sometime in the next month but it's not out yet. I think you may be able to watch new eps on Amazon on demand if you want to pay per episode.

Well all I have to say about your Stefan comment is Buffy/Spike. ;) (Which is not to say I'm spoiling you, but you know, anything could happen.)

Also, Season 3 has a lot more Stefan back story which sorta counts as character development? haha.
