I was really, really loving this book until I got to the end. All that sexual tension and then they're brother and sister? Where is Clare going to take this? What a letdown. And really - we knew from the start that Valentine had to be hiding somewhere, but are we really supposed to believe that Michael Wayland and his wife had no relatives or friends whatsoever who might come visiting? Or aren't there servants for a manor house that big? Clare could have done this much more plausibly. Still, I'm in for the next one.
