This was a fun romp through the ancient world, and even largely historically accurate! I kind of want to say that the viewpoint in the book is a little overly optimistic, due to the diversity of our motley group of heroes and how fine they all are with each other, but the author does address some hard issues, like slavery and the violent deaths of the dogs, so I don't know that that's fair. Overall, though, a fun YA mystery, and I'm enjoying the rest of the series. (Finished on 7/18/15)
