Plot: young woman with messed-up life gets act together by learning to train abused dogs and help them get their acts together. This was charming, and a bit deeper than I'd expected going into it. Recommended if you like books about dogs (though the stories about the dogs' histories can be upsetting, it's still a book about resilience and recovery and starting over, and so you know all these dogs are going to be okay).
