Loved seeing more of the peculiar children and their adventures. I did like the twist with the bird, that they thought they had rescued and were protecting Miss Peregrine all through their journey when it was really the enemy. But here's where I think Riggs missed the mark. The children all leave the island on November 4, 1940, right? The day after their loop day? Well, historically, Abe left the loop on that day too, and became a regular part of history, so why didn't they see him when they left the island? He would have come through town like they did. And even assuming they took different routes at different times or something, why didn't they look Abe up or run into him when they got to London? Maybe he wasn't there yet, but it just feels like a missed opportunity to me. Seeing them there could have been a part of Abe's history - and the reason why he knew that Jacob shared his peculiar gift - and it could have been a really cool moment. Overall I feel like the time travel is just fuzzy here and could have been done better. Also the interlude with the girl shown on the cover seemed sort of tossed in just because the photo was cool. But that's just me nerding over what was for the most part a really enjoyable read.
