here's the link to the quiz.

i'm reading right now the information that this website provides, and it's a good breakdown of the candidate's views, really. i added a link to the info on some of the candidates i find interesting, and i read most of the info for the others. it gives a synopsis, which is what i've been wanting, instead of having to watch debates and read the newspapers every day to sort through what each one of them is saying.

quotes i've liked so far:

Clark decried the lack of funding for the No Child Left Behind Act, saying "we should stop beating teachers over the head and start supporting them."

According to an NPR report, Clark grew up with guns and owns around 20 guns, and he supports that right. However, he's pro-gun control. "If you want to fire an assault weapon," he said, "join the army, we've got plenty of them."

Dean explained that in his opinion, the government should have no say in what a woman should choose. "It’s none of the government’s business."

Kucinich's "advocacy of a Department of Peace seeks not only to make nonviolence an organizing principle in our society, but to make war archaic."

Kucinich wrote that a War with Iraq would be a "waste of up to $1.9 trillion in our tax dollars, wrecking our economy while, at the same time, the Administration gives out a trillion dollar tax cut to the wealthy."

at first i wasn't liking Clark so much, but after reading a little more about him, i like his policies and ideas. it seems like he's not just saying, we have to do something about X problem, but that he's saying, here's how we should fix X problem. he's got plans, and he seems straightforward. i was liking John Edwards a lot (the NC loyalty, i guess--also, every time i wrote him a letter about some issue, i always got a response, and that means something. Liddy Dole never wrote me back), but i'm getting the impression that he's trying to cater to too many groups at once and he's getting stuck in the middle. he should try running for president again in ten years, maybe. of course, i like Carol Moseley-Braun's opinions on pretty much everything, but i'm thinking there's no way she'll ever get elected. maybe she could be a VP candidate, that could be cool.
