Oddly, this book had some themes in common with Sheryl Sandberg's Lean In, which I read last month: challenging yourself, not taking no for an answer, saying yes even when you've never done it before. (That's about where the similarities stop, but still, enough to be entertaining.) I heart Felicia Day and, as I assume many people do, think we would totally be best friends if we ever met in person. I wanted more in this memoir about her Whedon-related activities, but I learned about a lot of things she's done that I hadn't known before, and I deeply appreciated her honesty about her life and her struggles with anxiety and depression. If it can happen to someone as incredibly adorable as Felicia Day, it can happen to anyone. I will, of course, be looking forward to whatever she comes up with next.
