The Lost Herondale (#2): Finished on 7/11/16. Had to wait a weirdly long time for this one from the library and so read it out of order, but that didn't have any adverse effect on the plot. A sad story, with some nice backstory on Catarina.
The Evil We Love (#5): Finished on 7/14/16. Some Lightwood backstory and Valentine's circle backstory. Not my favorite.
Bitter of Tongue (#7): Finished on 7/16/16. More "fairies suck" attitude from the Shadowhunter world, and more sads for the poor Blackthorns. Simon's pretty cool in this one.
The Fiery Trial (#8): Finished on 7/17/16. Aw, cuties. Shared hallucinations for the win!
Born to Endless Night (#9): Finished on 7/17/16. Loved this one! Probably my favorite in the series. Not a shocker, since I like both Magnus and parenthood stories. Although if the baby was around eight months old like she said, it would've been crawling around on the floor, not getting passed around. I really liked how the Lightwoods came together to support Alec.
Angels Twice Descending (#10): Finished on 7/17/16. Oh, poor George. We should have known right from the start that this guy wasn't going to survive his Ascension. But Simon got a cool name out of it, and London Institute did a stand-up job about the whole thing and now George gets to hang out for eternity, defending the Shadowhunters he didn't get to become one of alongside his distant adoptive cousin who never wanted to be one. Sigh. A solid ending to the series.
