tonight was great. i left work at 5:00 and met up with some folks at the loew's theater next to boston common to see Big Fish. in attendance were jorn, miles, farbs, sarah ee, benjy, dylan, rikky, and rikky's male roommate. the movie was really, really good. yay tim burton, yay ewan macgregor, yay to siamese twins and giant carl. not hot carl, mind you, that's different. and, since it was a 5:55 show, it still counted as a matinee, so the tickets were only $6.50.

after the movie, i was really hungry, and we decided to go to mr. crepe for dinner. yay! i got spinach, mozzarella, and mushrooms, then split a strawberries & nutella crepe with dylan for dessert. after we ate, we all sat around talking and telling stories, in honor of the movie. benjy's met some cool people on greyhound buses, yo. and miss farbo related a fun naked-in-selinsgrove story i hadn't heard before, plus miles & dylan told the old favorites, miles-with-a-shovel and dylan-thinks-he's-following-miles. very fun.

when i got home, i paid some bills, caught up on my friends list, and then i started looking back through old posts. i decided i should have a good way to find certain posts that i tend to refer back to, so i'm looking at every old post and marking all the memorable ones. i did january-april 2003 so far. i also might do a "year in review" a la dannbrown. maybe. i also might finally finish up my summary of my weekend in new york that happened before thanksgiving. i keep meaning to, if only so i can type out exactly how awful that broadway show was. chorus: how awful was it? you'll have to wait til i write out the post.

now i'm off to bed--i departed davis square a bit early because i have to work tomorrow, and now i'm up past 1am. silly. but those bills did need to get paid, and now i can mail them in the morning. i also rejected my bmg monthly selection, which was important. i don't want to be getting another unrequested justin timberlake crapcake in the mail again. anyway, goodnight, y'all.

That was either DJ Shadow, which you normally dislike when I play, or the beginning of the cd that you said was creepy when you came in for bed, which was Dead Voices On Air. It doesn't all sound like what you thought was creepy, but it's all mostly ambient techno-ish stuff. The DJ Shadow was like more hip-hoppy beats over kinda ambient stuff. :) Dunno if that helped at all...

I saw Big Fish last night with my friend Z. It was a fab movie, but I felt a little bothered, when tears are rolling down my cheeks at the end, that nobody told me I would cry! I should have been warned! There I was, muscles tensed, tears just dripping out of my eyes, and I had no idea. sigh. It *was* sweet, though.
