new job is working out well. i think i'm really going to like it here. i'm starting to get the things organized that i need to get organized, and i'll be able to send the things out that i've been working on sending out for a few days now. so that's good. and i put up some of my things here in the office. i'm going to try to get a few more things finished before i leave for the day, so we'll see what happens.
in other news, dann and i played sims last night. dann found the eternal money cheat code online, so we pretty much knocked down our teeny house and started over, building the awesomest house ever. it's going to rock. it's not totally huge (the family is only dann and i and the cat, after all) but very spacious and full of cool stuff. we put in all the nicest and funkiest windows, and made a really nice, large bathroom, and got the nicest tv and a good stereo and a piano for the living room. we got the huge-ass oven for the kitchen and the best fridge and the best dishwasher and the cappucino machine. we got the canning counter, too, to improve our cooking points. we got the best bed and food dish for the cat. instead of stairs, we put teleporters to the upstairs, where our bedrooms are. my bedroom is a nice sunny yellow with a big bed and a nice dresser and a mirror and funky bookshelves and the cowprint chair and a funky lamp and a table with the guinea pig on it. dann's room has a great big loft window in the back, and he got a desk with a computer and some neat odd-looking dresser and end table, and he put a manorah on the end table. he also got a large and strange piece of art to just have in there. we also put a deck outside with a hot tub and the telescope, and a path back to... the gigantic $20,000 scuba diving tank. it's awesome. we're psyched and we know our people will love having it. so our house is cool and i totally can't wait until the next time we play so they can enjoy it. yay.
okay, back to work now.

better? :)
maybe i'll make a Jay sim and build him a house in the neighborhood, and then we can be friends. i'll make sure to give you a ponytail and some cats (although i don't think it's possible to make a three-legged sim cat...).

Date: 2004-01-15 12:55 pm (UTC)From:and i never set out to have a three-legged cat (neither did lori), so it isn't necessary to sim that little detail. but don't forget my motorcycle, so i can wake you up coming home late at night. and while we're fantasizing, i'll adopt a couple of greyhounds to run around on the back acreage and build a barn-like photo studio with a darkroom in the corner. and the house doesn't need to be too big as long as it gets plenty of sunlight and has a big screened porch with a ceiling fan. and trees. and maybe some water, like a little pond or something. and not necessarily unlimited money, just enough that i don't have to work all the time and can get some writing and some photography done. gee, is there a cheat where i can make a living doing just that? :D
