so i got off my ass and went to yoga today. very good stuff. i need to keep remembering how good i feel after yoga so that i keep going to yoga. i'm just much more... aware of my body. how i'm sitting, if any bits of me are sore, stuff like that. and i think i'm already starting to make a little progress in terms of the poses--the first few classes, i was shaking and out of breath and not able to hold a pose for very long at all. today i only got that way with a few of the standing poses; not all of them, but most particularly the ones involving certain positions of my knees--knee pain is a little odd, i mean you don't even think about them til they hurt. oh, and i'm aware of all the muscles in my back. they kind of hurt too. in a good stretched way.

also, have i mentioned that my yoga teacher is hot?

today i also figured out how to get into the damn women's locker room. it turns out that the door i found before (back staircase lower level) is the emergency exit. the front staircase is the way to go. right next to the women's locker room is the weight room, and there are convenient signs pointing the way to the cardio room. now that i know where things are, i feel more confident about going over there to work out. here is the schedule i am going to try to achieve: MWF, yoga at 12:15; TTH, cardio and possibly weights after work. not sure how much i want to do with weights--i mean, in the six months or so that i stopped working out, i lost all that clunky calf muscle and suddenly my sexy black boots fit so much better. and i think my arms were a little clunky before too. although, currently all of me is pretty clunky in a non-muscular way, so for toning it would be a good idea to do at least some lifting.

i'm also interested in getting in the pool. that chlorine smell permeates the whole building and it's intoxicating. i need to find out when the open hours are. i wish i could take aquaerobics again but that actually costs money for every class, which i think sucks cock. but first things first--lose a little weight before bringing my ass anywhere near a bathing suit.

since we had no bread at home and also no yogurt (damn! i remembered to ask jorn to pick up brownie mix but forgot about the bread!) i was unable to make a sandwich for my lunch, so i had to stop over at the law school caf for some food to bring back to the office. i got a little salad but accidentally slathered it with way too much honey mustard dressing, probably ruining whatever nutritional value it and my yoga class would've had. it was even too much dressing for me. next time: only a third to a half of the dipper. i also picked up a snapple for a treat. and an oatmeal raisin cookie. let's go see if it's ymmuy.
