stupid bmg

i just went online to "buy one, get three free" from bmg, only to discover that they don't have half the stuff i want. here are the things i really want to get: the Amelie soundtrack, the Two Towers soundtrack, the new sarah mclachlan, and the new pete yorn. some other things i would get are the RotK soundtrack and tori amos's songs from the choirgirl hotel (which somehow i still don't have). but bmg didn't have Amelie, the new sarah mclachlan, or the RotK soundtrack. and Two Towers, tori, and pete only add up to three cds, and i don't really feel like digging around to find another one when there's several cds i really want that i won't be getting. grr. i'll just keep an eye out for next time, i guess.

i love amelie! i get to watch it in the language lab whenever i want:)

i hate when the music clubs are like that. they never have any of the stuff i want so i end up feeling like i'm "settling"...bah to them!

it's not like i'm looking for some little EP that was released ten years ago and went out of print or something, though. the new sarah mclachlan cd is a big deal because she hasn't recorded anything new in like four years, and it's been out for a while. and Amelie was a pretty big movie for a foreign film, and it's been out long enough that i'm surprised bmg doesn't have the soundtrack. but whateva.

The new Sarah album has only been out for like a month. They don't get new albums in at BMG until like 4 or 5 months after the release date. The last Jay-Z album just showed up in BMG this issue, and it came out in 2003. That's how music clubs work. The labels don't want store purchases to be eaten away by anything in the first few months.

okay, i just looked on amazon, and Afterglow was released on november 4. which means it has been out for over four months, not one.
