in other (better) news. jorn's back from austin, no matter how he got here or when, and that makes me really happy. i missed him a lot. a giant pikachu just doesn't cut it in the bedroom when you're used to sleeping beside an actual jorn. i missed him a lot. did i say that already?

saturday i went to the movies with farbs and maddie to see Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. i can't wait to go see it again. kate winslet is just beautiful and jim carrey was only funny in a normal actor way not in an insanely annoying jim carrey way, and it was just so gorgeous. lovelovelove. so it was a weekend of good movies.

i also read Kim Addonizio's book Jimmy and Rita on sunday afternoon while i was at the otis house. for all y'all non-literary types out there, this would be a book of poetry. the first book of poetry i've read cover to cover since this time last year. it was really really good. maybe i'm on the way back. maybe. i felt like i wanted to write yesterday, but i was at work and then we got four tours and then i had to drive to providence and we all know how *that* went so the inspiration is totally gone now but. maybe it'll be back soon.

ooh ooh ooh! and i got a new printer here in my office. it's so cool. it's my new best friend. and we're totally going to the mall together next weekend, just like best friends should.

was he in Austin for SXSW (South by Southwest)? Because I know that the event was last week. Seems coincidental.

I'm jealous, supposedly Justin and Jane of GameGirlAdvance were there and I've always wanted to meet them. Especially Jane, I even own her band's CD. Dealership - Highway to the Stars.

What exactly goes on at SXSW anyways? I've seen a video from Ani Moller about it, but it wasn't very informative. Just more, "hey I know that person's site!".

yup, that's why he was there. he saw lots of great bands, came home with a huge stack of new cds, and will probably be musically content for quite a while. :)
