so this weekend miles was talking about the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. he went with dylan last year, and said it was really fun... and he'd like to go again this year, and i'm really tempted. but the thought of camping is a little scary. i've never camped before. i don't know...

Two thumbs up for camping, way way up! Invest in a matress pad and a pack of pre-moistened towlettes, and all will be good.

Falcon Ridge is an AWESOME event! I went a few years ago (while I was still living in NY and not really working, so I was able to do whatever I wanted...).

I volunteered two years in a row there, and even with having to work a couple hours a day, there was so much fun stuff going on, and there's a dancing tent and a workshop tent where the mainstage performers get together and play around with each other.... Plus, there's a drum circle one night after the shows are over, and people bring their instruments and just enjoy each other's music...

Oh, it's fun. I think if you go with other people who have camped before, they can get you through the possible scary parts of camping. But really, I never liked camping, and I had a hell of a lot of fun. Just a warning, though... the two years I was there, it was DAMN HOT all day long, and DAMN COLD all night long. So be prepared for the possibility of insane weather changes.

*sigh* I wish I could go there this year... Maybe I'll check it out and see if I can manage it. Camping with a baby, though... hmmmm...

You'll have fun if you go!!!! FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!
