omg. just got back from yoga. the class was very good, very exhausting but i also felt really strong a few times, and i was able to do a few things i'd never done before. but then, we're doing the meditation at the end of class, which involves laying still and relaxing on our mats. and i totally fell asleep. passed right the fuck out. i've never done that before. i can think of a few times when i dozed, but this time i was *asleep*, completely out cold. i woke up to gene asking me to come back to the seated posture with everyone else, and he said it was okay and it happens to everyone sometimes. i wonder how many times he had to say my name. i even woke up with that "just woke up" taste in my mouth. (what goes *on* in our mouths when we're sleeping, anyway?)

i guess i'm not the Spry Young Thing i used to be, if i can't go to Manray and not fall asleep in yoga class the next day. anyway, i like gene. he's not hot like david, but david won't be teaching for the next month or so. gene's class is ashtanga vinyasa, which moves a bit faster than david's hatha classes; gene's class has us focusing more on moving with the breath, and david's is all about lengthening and strengthening the breath. s'all good, though. i get sweaty, and i get strong, and i get bendy, and that would be the objective for me at this point. yay yoga. let's hope i don't fall asleep next time.

Hey, I do that all the time. It's part of why I fear that if I stop moving I'll fall into a coma. Mostly I doze at the ending meditation, and there's some odd lucid dreams, but several times I've dropped right off. But then, I'm normally sleep deprived. Yoga's so relaxing, what can you do?
Good for you for going again.
