so, like every month i end up buying crap from bmg. but i'm getting good deals: just now, i spent $16.55 on four cds, including shipping. they're having a 70% off thing, plus somehow i had these free music vouchers that i used a few of. i got:

Sarah McLachlan - Afterglow (because i'm still loyal, even if she did sell out)
Coldplay - Parachutes (because i need my own copy)
Sheryl Crow - Tuesday Night Music Club (because i should've had this ages ago)
INXS - Kick (see above)

i looked for Snow Patrol and The Sounds, grass_stained, but they didn't have them, and they still don't have Dar Williams.

damn! i just thought of this: the David Bowie two-disc Best Of that i've been wanting! why didn't i use the stupid free music vouchers on that?? now i've got one free music voucher left, and i can't use it on a two-disc set. if i bought it right now it would be $7.49 plus shipping for a total of $12.27. i mean, that's not bad, but it's not free. well, shit. i guess i'll wait til next month and see what their deal is then.

just so you know, when you get a deal like "buy one and every cd after that is 70% off", they take the most expensive cd from your order and make that one the "buy one". So the david bowie cd would only be able to be on sale if you bought another thing of equal or greater cost and made that other thing the "buy one". LAME!

And they're never going to get dar williams. You should stop looking. She's too underground for BMG.

i know that about the david bowie cd. i found that out the last time i tried to buy it, remember? i was thinking i'd use the free music vouchers on it--two vouchers would cover it, since it's a two-disc set. but i only had one free music voucher left.

oh, and it wasn't even "buy one and get every cd after that 70% off", it was actually "every cd is 70% off". seriously. every cd. hence my saying that the david bowie cd set, without any free vouchers, would be $7.49 or whatever--because i was looking at the price in my shopping cart.

well, i mean, i *could* get it on my account no problem for the $7.49. but what i was saying was that i should've used the free music vouchers on it and gotten it for even cheaper. so unless you've got free music vouchers you want to give me... :)
