i totally forgot to post about this in the crush of dead rodent odors this morning! i cleaned my room last night! i completely cleaned out my closet, AND the trunk under my bed. i ended up dumping 80% of the stuff in the trunk, and that freed up a ton of space to put all my good sweaters away til next winter. i cleared sweaters out of my closet and off my shelves, and i filled up the trunk and two boxes with various winter stuff. i put my tank tops and short sleeved shirts out on the shelves instead, and hung up summery dresses in the closet. by the end of the night i had three full bags of clothes to take to goodwill.
i also (drumroll please) purged my shoe collection! i discovered i have three almost identical pairs of brown shoes. now i just have one of those pairs. i ditched a lot of shoes. they're also going to goodwill. i still have quite a lot of shoes, but i got rid of the ones that usually hurt my feet or give me blisters, and i also got rid of all the ones i never wear.

two pairs of comfy sandals (my new birks and my teva knockoffs)

i think that's it. i'm pretty sure. we're not counting slippers, right? i only have two pairs of those (one for work and one for home). if i think of any others, i'll confess.
in other news, the smell seems to be dissipating. i say "seems" because i shut my door to run over to regina's office and when i came back ten minutes later it was really horrifically strong again. now i've got the window open and the door open and the AC on and i borrowed a fan from deyett. i'm cold, but at least the smell isn't so bad. i just hope it goes away soon...
