so they're finally releasing Northern Exposure on dvd. i'm psyched. the first season is in stores tomorrow. but if i'm reading it right, it's two discs (packaged in a collectible orange parka) and it costs $41.99 on amazon. apparently the first season is only eight episodes because it was a mid-season replacement. the price seems outlandishly high, especially considering that the first season of Buffy was only 12 episodes and goes for ten bucks cheaper. i think i remember this week's target flyer saying they were selling it for $39.99, though. that would make this the first time ever in my memory that target had something cheaper than amazon has it. i still don't know if i can bring myself to spend $40 on two discs. argh.

and they're putting out Quantum Leap on dvd now too! ooh. i'm psyched. i loved that show.
