i walked to work this morning. the weather channel predicted "Abundant Sunshine" again, so i figured today would be a good time for it. i'm going to try to do this at least three times a week, i think. good exercise and good outside-time.
yoga was good yesterday. i made it to class on tuesday and thursday this week--go me--but thursday is always better because it's gene's class and he's really good. i've started noticing a difference in the way i look, just a little bit; haven't lost any weight, but my torso (isn't that the worst word?) is looking a bit less like mush, especially when i don't slouch. and the more yoga i do, the easier it is to naturally not slouch. have to keep doing the twists, that has to be what's doing it. my old yoga teacher last year wasn't as big on the twists, or else i didn't concentrate on that as much as on other stuff, but i've been focusing more on the twists lately and it's nice to see a difference. next plan is to make my thighs look less like my mother's.
still working on buffy season six. on wednesday all i really wanted to do was go home and curl up on the couch with a pound of cookie dough and my buffy, and that's exactly what i did. i watched five episodes--from "Flooded" through "Tabula Rasa"--and it was a good night. i really liked "Once More With Feeling", too. and "Tabula Rasa" broke my freakin' heart. but because jorn had gone out with sarahfarbo on wednesday i was watching alone, so i knew i'd have to rewatch everything over again. which we pretty much did last night, except for "Tabula Rasa", which i think is on the schedule for tonight. so yes, i watched the same four episodes of buffy two nights in a row. i'm liking the Geek Trio because they're really hilarious. they're just like people i know, and their characters are written really well, i think, and their conversations sound like exactly what they should sound like. the second time watching "Life Serial" jorn and i caught a bunch of mad references to the movie Logan's Run, which was just awesome (mostly warren's lines, while he's setting up for his test). jorn hated "Once More With Feeling", which didn't surprise me at all. i liked it the first time but really started to love it the second time. i've now added the soundtrack to my wish list (and can you believe bmg doesn't have it? i think pretty soon i'm going to run out of things to buy from bmg...).
now jorn and i just have to watch "Tabula Rasa" (second time for me), and then we'll be set to watch "Smashed", which i've been highly looking forward to ever since i got the dvds. rar.
i borrowed jorn's My Favorite double cd this morning. now i think i need one of my own. they're really, really good. i wish they just had it as a single cd, though--the second disc is all just remixes of stuff on the first disc. not really necessary to me.

Grassy and i were talking about having a book-reading duel, because both of us have a ton of poetry books we want to read and not much motivation to read them instead of doing something else (like obsessively watching buffy, for example). so whenever i read a book, i will post about it. hopefully i will soon actually read a book and then have something to post about.
my birks haven't arrived yet. argh. but i think that when they do arrive and i go to pick them up, i'm going to try on the kitty shoes. i can't stop thinking about them. it's been *almost* a whole month since i originally bought the birks.
oh, one more thing. saturday, i'm scheduled to work at Otis House all day, and then i'm meeting up with jorn and farbs and sarah ee. to see harry potter. and then there's a party that i'm supposedly invited to. dylan's friends. i don't know them, and i won't know anyone there except my roommates. trying to decide if i should go. i might end up being too tired from working all day and then watching the movie; then again, the movie might energize me to be a Wild Party Girl. yeeargh. dunno.
