i got lots done yesterday--packed a whole bunch, did two big loads of laundry, unloaded the dishwasher. i'll be just about finished packing as soon as my jeans are done drying and i pack them. i've paid all the bills that need paying and gotten most of the stuff that needs getting, and the rest of it i'll get tonight. one thing i'm a little worried about is the LotR exhibit at the Museum of Science: i don't know who all wants to go with us, and jorn's going to have to get the tickets while i'm away, and i really don't have time right now to track down everyone i invited and see if they want to come. so that's frustrating. i mean, i can't imagine anyone *not* wanting to go see all the armor and costumes and weapons from the movies, and for more than $10 off the door price, but you know, maybe someone's grandma is planning to die that weekend or something. anyhow, i should find time to give miles and farbs and batts, at least, a call to see if they're still up for going and if we should get them tickets.
last night while i was packing books i found The Dogs of Babel by Carolyn Parkhurst, and i started reading it and had to keep reading until i finished it. OMG. go get this book and read it, all of you. go get it right now. beautiful and devastating and amazing and powerful. gah.
tonight: stop by walgreens for hair dye and film developing and prescription pickup and a camera battery and an eyeglass repair kit. then over to Kris's. yay.
