last night i saw Fahrenheit 9/11. i don't even want to think about it. there aren't many movies that have made me as sad as i was last night.
(chang, to answer your question: there was a beheading shown--it took place in saudi arabia--but the picture was so fuzzy and the camera so far away that all you could really see was the sword falling and then a shape slumping to the ground. the images of wounded children in present-day iraq were much more graphic and much more horrifying. as were the images of militant iraqis (i guess) desecrating a burned and blackened american soldier's corpse. god, i never want to see that movie again.)
okay, in other news. it took me a while to get cheered up again last night. i had to make brownies, and even then. but i did try out the DDR, and it was (dare i say it) fun. i want to do the tutorials over again and finish all the lessons. i think i might be able to get used to having this in my house. and it's going to be so good for jorn, too, he needs something to get him moving.
we need groceries like whoa.
other shopping i need to do:
- target - i need contact solution and a new pillow and Chaos Bleeds and possibly Prince of Persia, depending on price (amazon's got each of them for $19.99, but i'm sick of impulse-ordering things online). and some other stuff that's on a list.
- garment district - dann and dyl want to do some shopping this weekend, and i need some manray-appropriate new things.
- i still want those green kangaroos. i also want to get down to DSW and use my birthday gift certificate. i'm thinking on a pair of tevas and possibly some new ordinary sneaks--my new balances are pretty worn out.also still thinking about those rain boots but pretending i'm not
- and i want to walk up to that fabric store dyl told me about to get some, well, fabric. i want to get those jeans patched up. maybe he'll go with me on saturday, if the store is as near to the garment district as i'm imagining it is.
Grassy--still no charges on my mastercard from amazon. hey everyone, do you know, if i preorder something (like Angel dvds for example) on amazon, do you know if they charge your credit card when you make the order or when they actually ship it? i preordered two days ago but haven't had a charge hit my card yet.
look at my new icon. i <3 it.

Date: 2004-07-15 08:47 am (UTC)From:I know for a fact that gamestop doesn't pull the price till it ships. Because I had bought some stuff with a preordered game...and had to cancel the game before it shipped.
