today jorn left for SUUSI. i miss him already.
dannbrown and i went to the garment district today. we weren't entirely sure how to get there on foot and so we took a very long way around, but that's okay, we found it. dann didn't find any shirts that were quite right, but i got a new shirt, the *perfect* denim skirt, and this absolutely gorgeous dress. it needs a little bit of fixing up to make it really wearable, though: a stitch here, a few stitches there, not a big deal, but there's some substantial zipper problems--either i'll always have to have someone else zip me into the dress and help me get out of it later, or i'll have to opt for an entirely new zipper. which i might prefer, depending on how easy/cheap it would be to do. i'm going to ask amy what she thinks and if she can do it, since i know she sews and stuff. but for the $15 it cost me, i wouldn't mind just taking the thing to a tailor to get it fixed up, since i'll want to dry clean it anyway before i wear it. but gah, it's just lovely. no idea when i'll have a chance to wear it but i don't care.
tonight, amy's going to come over and we're going to watch Fargo, probably, and maybe get some food. tomorrow, i'm at the Otis house all day, and when i get off work i think i'm going to head up to Park Street to see King Arthur. i don't have qualms about going to see a movie by myself.
after jorn left, i went to dunkin for some house donuts. i also picked myself up a caramel swirl iced latte, and ever since i drank it, i've been all jittery and shaky. no more iced lattes from dunkin for me, thanks. it's a little unpleasant. i felt kind of out of it at the garment district, but thankfully recovered in time to buy stuff. was there ever any doubt?
