yo. guess it was a pretty busy weekend. friday night sarah e-e came over and we watched PotC. she had never seen it before (!!!). unbelievably, this was the first time my copy of it had been watched. saturday, i worked at Otis House and had probably the busiest day i've ever had there: i gave three tours, and cathy gave three. a few people were already in town for the DNC. one good thing, though, is that i finally feel really solid on my Otis tour--i know the basic important things to mention in each room, and i have an assortment of other interesting things to talk about if i get a good group who seems into it. i was starting to worry because it didn't take me near this long to really get the tour down when i worked at Blandwood, but now i feel better about things.
saturday night, dann and i started watching the last episode of Average Joe 2--this when we hadn't seen any of the earlier episodes--but dann had to leave before the end. i left him a note to let him know who she picked, though. (the hot one. of course. poor adam was heartbroken. but i bet there's chicks across the country writing him love letters now.) then i headed over to kris's (having decided to bail on tadd's party, since odd as it was i would know more people at kris's). and it was very fun.
yesterday i slept in (since i hadn't gotten to bed til after 3am on saturday night) and then talked to laur on the phone for almost two hours. hope her phone bill's not too dismal--i should've called her, but who knew we were going to talk that long? then i took a nice long walk, found a nifty toy store i have to take jorn back to, and found the fabric store dylan was telling me about. got some fabric. forgot to get more iron-on stuff, of course, thus (probably) rendering said fabric useless at the moment. then i walked home cheerfully and got fro yo for everyone on the way. was helping dann clean the porch when jorn finally got home. so. good. to see him. he was very missed. and last night we started watching Slayers, dann's favorite anime, and it was fun to see how Lina and Gourry met for the first time (especially considering how many times i saw them finally kiss when dann got to the third season and kept replaying that moment...). probably we'll watch some more tonight.
i hate mondays. so depressing. when i take a class this fall i think i want to schedule it on mondays so that i'll have something about monday to look forward to besides just getting it over with so i can move on to tuesday.
speaking of tuesday, who knows what tomorrow is? besides of course Be Nice To Rox Day, which i've written on the calendar for the next several months.
maybe this weekend i'll go visit sarah b. i mean, i was going to go anyway, on sunday, for steve's birthday, but maybe i'll go on friday and stay the whole weekend instead of just going for a day trip. i never feel this meh when i'm with her. and it's been ages and ages since i've seen her. or maybe i'll go to the movies with jorno. still haven't seen Spidey. or that could be a date for one night this week--with, possibly, mexican food. mmm.

Date: 2004-07-27 06:50 am (UTC)From:"Be Nice To Rox Day" happens every fourth tuesday. i've started writing it on the calendar so that when i act like a psycho no one will get too surprised. it's also kind of an alert that no one else should want the tv for anything that night because Be Nice To Rox Day usually means that all i want to do is veg out on the couch in my pajamas eating raw cookie dough and brownies and watching girly crap no one else wants to watch. heh. :)
