so this weekend, jorn and i went up to rochester, new york for amy & josh's wedding. ( and it was really fun. )

team lunch barbecue

today i dragged my poor tired self out of bed on time, showered, and got ready to go early so i could pick up rhett and take her to the airport for her trip to boston. and when i holler out to jorn that the shower's free, he says, i think i'll sleep a little longer since i can take the bus. it made me go ooooh! in a mad mindy voice because i did not get extra sleep. i still tried to be quiet, though, but there's only so quiet you can be when you're blow-drying your hair, ya know? anyway, i took rhett to the airport and then stopped by the harris teeter on the way back into town to pick up some food for the team lunch we had at work today. it was a cookout theme, so since i didn't have a particular "dish" to make, i was assigned to bring lettuce and tomato and onion and relish to top the burgers and dogs. i got the relish last week, but i picked up the veggies this morning so they'd be fresh, but then i realized i had forgotten to bring a cutting board and knife (and how much would it suck to cut an onion with a plastic knife?). so i ran back home for that, and found jorn awake and showered and checking his email because he couldn't get the bus till like 9:30. so i said, want a ride? and he said sure. so i took jorn to work after all. and the team lunch was really fun, and dave and his wife just found out she's pregnant so dave was all excited. now my hands smell like onion.
