Yesterday ended up being a really good day. Jorn went with me to Diesel and I didn't even feel like I was dragging him, and we hung out with Kris and Darxus (who was wearing sandals! and colors!) and Kat, and I got to meet Morgan and Jon for the first time in RL, so that was cool. It was pretty loud in there, though, so conversation was tough especially for poor Jorno. Since we were in Davis Square anyway, the two of us ended up going to Mr Crepe for dinner (because Mr Crepe is TEH BEST CREPE RESTAURANT EVAR OMG!!1!!121 IT OWNZORZ ALL OTHER CREPE RESTAURANTS!!@1@!1!). Jorn got his usual--turkey egg and monterey jack--and I got my usual--spinach mushroom basil mozzarella--and they were just wonderful. Then we got our usual dessert--strawberries and nutella--and Jorn got a kick out of watching me eat it. Just. So. Good. Rar.
When we got home, I actually got out my damn sewing kit! I put the button back on Dann's pants, and fixed the hole in my skirt and the tear in the sleeve of my universe shirt and took the sleeves off that shirt I never wear (it's better now, but still needs something else, maybe some creative cutting, to make it wearable). I discovered that I can use fabric from one of the newly-detached sleeves to reinforce the crotch of my favorite black pants. They're getting really worn. That'll be the next project, which will require the use of Heat N' Bond. I'll probably do a bunch of other fabric at the same time, because my patchy jeans need still more patches. Fun and excitement. I still need some new pants.
But all in all, I felt very accomplished last night. Got out, saw people, ate ymmuy food, finished some little sewing projects, and watched two episodes of Sex & The City while I did it. Very good.
And today it's raining, but that's okay because I have polka-dot rain boots. I'm in love.
