stupid fire alarm

We just had a fire alarm here. Because somebody on the first floor left their popcorn too long in the microwave and it caught fire or something. The alarm went off for ages and it was really loud, and the smell is still pretty bad. Even worse than when Dann purposely burns the popcorn in our apartment. And of course, this happens on a day when I actually don't want there to be a random fire alarm to distract me. Meh!

That happened once at my last office. Another time we (the office building) had a bomb threat! Very exciting, huh? Our building was the closest building to the Federal Center in Lakewood which has the largest number of federal employees outside the Pentagon. Of course we're talking about clerical and administrative employees but the police took the threat quite seriously. They closed the building early so we all got to go home.

Dann likes burned food. I mean, he doesn't set it on fire or anything, but enough to get that burned popcorn smell. I don't get it either.
