post-root canal

I got a root canal yesterday. It wasn't as bad as it could've been. I still felt like crap afterwards, so I took the afternoon off from work. My tooth is aching now. But I'm listening to Ratatat, so that makes me feel better. (One more thing to add to the list of cds I'll have to buy for myself if Jorn and I ever break up...)

Ran into Darxus at the dentist yesterday. That kind of made my day. That and catching two eps of season 7 Buffy on FX when I got home. But the tooth pain made it an overal pretty bad day.

Today I'm going to yoga. My hip has been feeling funny and I'm not sure why. And I need to stop at O&I on the way back for IMAX tickets, because my Jornzor is the sweetest boy evar and is going with me to see Ghosts of the Abyss at the IMAX tomorrow, even though he doesn't want to see it, because he knows I do. And then we're planning on going to Grendel's Den for dinner because he heard they have a cheese fondue. It's been a while since we've had a date night; I'm really looking forward to it.

Now that I'm back at work I am finally going to post pics from Halloween (in case you missed them in painkiller's and sleepyworm's journals). And I am going to stop thinking about the election. Stop talking about it, people.

(Oh, and Grassy, I snagged this icon. I was looking for something of someone crying or otherwise being obviously upset, but this is working for me, I like it.)

That sucks that your tooth is aching. Mine didn't hurt at all afterward. But maybe it did and it was just nothing compared to the pain I'd been in so I didn't notice. I was really glad I got to run into you to. Quite a pleasant contrast to some guy drilling in my face for 2 hours.

The tooth was definitely worse yesterday, but it's still decidedly unfun. It's likely I'm just noticing the soreness because I had no problems with this tooth before, so of course it feels worse than it did. Glad your case was the opposite, though.

Hey, when are you going back for your permanent crown? I'm going on 11/16. :)

And... consider calling those people up and saying it hurts too much. Dentist guy seemed quite happy to give me pain meds.

I would rather do it at the end of the day, to minimize the sick time I'll have to use to go to the appointment. And then I can go right home afterwards. Sorry. :)

And I've got one bottle of Vicodin and a prescription for Vicoprofen (whatever that is). I'm not worrying about the pain meds, I just want to make sure I'm not wasting it on non-pain in case there's worse pain later? Hrm.
