I'm the Princess, I'm the Princess! (Would any of you be surprised to hear me shouting that in RL? I'm shocked I never did a princess costume before!)



Here I am with sleepyworm (Mario), painkiller (Luigi), and qua (Toad). His costume came together kind of at the last minute--he was working on an elaborate paper mache mushroom hat, but he didn't have enough time to finish it. The Target bag was an inspired substitute, as was the bed sheet that became pants with only a few pins and knots.



That wig was itchy. But--sparkles!

And because *I'M* the Princess, I'm not going to post pics of anyone else from the party. Jorn and Dann did, though, so check there if you want to see what Farbs was wearing.

My mom cracked up when I told her I was going to be the Princess. I've always generally abhorred anything pink and girly. But the four-person group costume was just too good to resist. The dress was so fun! :)

I had friends who got like eight people together for the Wizard of Oz once. It was totally cool, they had enough people to have not just the main characters but a few Munchkins too! But this is the first group costume I've been able to do. It was fun!
