Lots of awesome stuff to talk about!
Friday night, Jorn and I went out on our date, and after the IMAX movie we stopped at Newbury Comics for him to look at cds, and I found... BuffyBuffy action figures!!! I got Tara and Anya. Tara is accompanied by what looks like a table and a spellbook and a candle, and Anya is accompanied by the cash register and some money. I totally lucked out!! They also had Anya in her bunny suit (the new version, of course), but I did not buy that (but *perhaps* someone else did while I wasn't looking to put away for me for xmas...). And then, today, I played through two more levels of BuffyBuffy Chaos Bleeds, and I'm now at the final level!! And I found all the secrets in the mall and the zoo (even though I had to look one up and therefore didn't find the holy water supersoaker until I was almost done the level). I am totally excited about being so close to the end!!
And tonight! We went to a show! We saw El Vez, the Mexican Elvis impersonator! And he was so amazing. I have seen very few shows at this level of entertainment, seriously. All of you should look him up and see if you can catch one of the last shows on this tour (the "El Vez for Prez" tour), because it's $10 you won't regret spending. He's a terrific performer, and hilarious, and well-dressed, and he looks good in leather pants. He does like 15 costume changes throughout the show, and the music is really cool--he works in references to lots of different songs. For example, he did his version of Elvis's "In the Ghetto" ("En el Barrio") and worked in bits of "Champagne Supernova" and something else I don't remember. I remember him singing, "In a souped-up chevy nova... en el barrio!" And it was just awesome. I can't even remember all the songs he did or did parts of. And his election campaign stuff was hilarious. It was a totally, totally great show. And--he went on at 11:35, and the show kept my interest until the very end. I'm well-known for my tendency to doze off during shows that are late at night, or just late at night in general, and I was totally into this show through the whole thing. Granted, frequent costume changes were involved, but still. It was a great show. Everyone there was so into it. All of you, go look him up now. Catch a show. You will totally thank me.
Also, if you hear me talking about Richard Grieco on here from now on, it's all Jorn's fault.
