All you ladies will also be receiving this via email, but I thought I'd post it too.
Having a Cookie Party!
I am thinking of starting a new holiday tradition this year and hosting a Cookie Party. A friend of mine in Greensboro used to have one every year--each partygoer makes a different kind of cookie, and brings X dozen cookies to the party. Then everyone (X amount of guests) trades, so that each person gets to go home with the same amount of cookies she brought, but she now has a dozen of several different kinds of cookie! I like to bake, and I like to eat, and I know you all do too, so I thought this would be a fun thing to do!
For possible dates, I was considering Thursdays--either 12/9 or 12/16. We could also do Tuesday 12/14 if that's better. (I was thinking weeknights would be better, since weekends around the holidays get so crazy.)
Please write me back (or comment) and let me know:
1) if you want to attend a cookie party,
2) which of the above dates would be better for your schedule,
and 3) what your cookie specialty is.
I will take everyone's suggestions into consideration when I pick a day/time, and then I'll send an official evite that you can respond to. After everyone responds to the evite, I'll let you know the head count and thus how many batches of cookies to make. This kind of party won't work unless everyone who's coming RSVPs, so keep that in mind when you get your evite (or else, no cookies for you!).
Can't wait to see you and spread some holiday cheer!
Love,
Rox
PS. Boys: This is mostly just an FYI, though if you want to bake stuff, feel free.
Cookies are for everyone!
