So, this morning, Jorn and I got up at 5:45 and left the house by 6:10 and were at GameStop at exactly 7:00 am, which is when the sale flyer said they would be open, and then we sat on a bench and looked longingly at the store for two hours until they actually opened at 9:00, but that's all okay now because I BOUGHT A GAMECUBE!!1 I am so so excited. The deal came with the platinum gamecube, one controller, Mario Kart Double Dash, and $15 toward the purchase of any new gamecube game, plus a while supplies last offer of a FREE gamecube starter kit that has a controller and a memory card and a disc carrying case and some extension cords (a $30 value). So that's why we got there early, to get the free thing. So I spent $104 ($99.99 plus tax) on the gamecube and the free starter kit and the game, and then I opened the box up immediately to get the $15 gift certificate and I spent it on Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, which because it's kind of old was only $20 to begin with so I got it for $5. And we've already got Windwaker, which is what I think I'm going to start with. I didn't see Mario Sunshine there or I would've gotten that too. I am so so excited. Jorn is hooking it up right now.

Jorn got some good stuff at the GameStop too: a game controller to hook up to his PC so he can play all his nintendo emulator games, and a new N64 controller, and something for me for christmas (!!!). We were looking at the new Inuyasha game but it was $40, which was a little too pricey. Maybe later. I think we'll have enough games to keep us busy for a while. I don't think I'm leaving the house today.

oh yeah, on the first peak {in SSX3}...when you do the half pipe contest...you should get the gold...then try to get platinum for more money.

To get the platinum you need to score over 700,000 and I've done it without buying any of the skills for the racer.

I haven't played it yet, but according to the box, you're a persian prince tricked into unleashing [some evil thing] onto the world by an evil vizier, and you have to manipulate time to try to stop the evil vizier from taking over everything. You can stop time, slow it down, back it up, speed it up, things like that. And it just looks hella cool.
